What is it, where it can be used in?

One of the most important factors in video games is visuality as well as playability. It is the Game Artist's responsibility to model and texture the characters and objects to create the desired visuality in the game, whether realistic or cartoony. Character, place, or object; Game Artist’s that will take place in a game have a great importance in creating the basis and character of the game.

The Anima School Game Artist program will give you a solid foundation in 3D modeling and game animation that you can use to make your own video games. By learning the most common programs in the industry such as Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter and Unreal Engine 4, you will create works in different 2D and 3D styles and develop your portfolio that will help you take a solid step into the industry.

Content of the Class

Anima School Game Artist training, which lasts for 6 months, will be covered in four sections and each section will last 12 weeks. Students will first learn how to model in Zbrush, digital sculpting and texture.

In the second part, students will get acquainted with the correct number of polygons and topology with 3D prop modeling, topology and UV training in the Autodesk Maya program and learn how to produce content in a way suitable for the game world. Then, the rig (joint system) will be learned at the entry level to be used in animation and the animation of its characters and the last part of the training will be passed.

Now it's time to create your own playable game! Finally, students will learn the game engine integration of 3D models. Learn how to build characters, use animation and AI interaction, and populate a game environment in Unreal Engine 4.

The Gain of Education

Students who complete the Anima School Game Artist education graduate at a level that can prepare their 3D characters, objects and spaces, which they designed and modeled in three dimensions with Zbrush and Maya, in accordance with the game industry. They also learn the basics of the game engine by integrating the designs they model and animate into the Unreal Engine. In addition, students can print their models by combining them with 3D printing technologies and they can make their own design figures.

Students who successfully complete the Game Artist training in the sector; They have the opportunity to find jobs according to their expertise in fields such as Game Artist, Art Director, Concept Artist, Environment Artist, Character Artist.
