TAYFUR TÜRKMENOĞLU

I am Tayfur Türkmenoğlu, I was born in 1996 in Kayseri. I moved to Istanbul with my family when I was in 3rd grade. Ever since I was a kid, I've been interested in movies, games, toys and drawing. In my high school years, I decided that my future profession should be relevant.

That is why I wanted to study a department related to design in university preference despite my numerical education in high school. In 2014 I won the Communication Design Department of Yıldız Technical University. I started to draw conceptual drawings there, then in the summer of 2015, I registered in Anima Okul’s 3-month summer program, through which I was introduced to the 3D world. Rather than the training Anima Okul has given me, the biggest benefit was that it allowed me to meet people from the sector and to understand the sector better. After that, I spent three and a half years focusing more on the sector and working freelance and in-house from time to time.

My application to a Norwegian company called Storm Studios was accepted 4 months ago and I came to Norway after a tedious visa process. I am currently working as a 3D Generalist in Oslo and I am very pleased with this. I hope to work on international film or game projects in the future and always trying to improve myself.
