Born in 1983, in Ankara, Sezgin Öztürk always drew attention with his great passion for painting and comics. Because of these interests, he did not think twice about the subject he wanted to specialize in, and decided to study fine arts. Wishing to turn his childhood passion into a life long talent, he took the exams of Eskişehir Anatolian Fine Arts High School, and completed his high school education in the painting department of said school. In order to improve his talent and to combine his passion for drawing with new technologies, he decided to study animation, and entered cartoon (Animation) department of Anadolu University. Thus his journey in animation world began.
After graduation, he moved to Istanbul, the center of Turkish animation industry, and got a job in Anima Istanbul. As a result of working in one of the most respected and experienced integrated film production companies in the country, with the most well-equipped professionals, he quickly specialized in his subject, and started to make a name for himself.
After 3.5 joyful years under the roof of Anima Istanbul, he went to America to improve his language and technical skills, and to meet new cultures. Staying there for six months, he returned to Turkey, and began to work as a freelancer. He continued to provide character animation and character design services for various big brands, and created many successful projects. In 2013, he decided to return to academic life. But this time not as a student, but as an instructor! Due to this decision, he started his Anima School adventure as co-founder and manager. In order to bring new talents to light, Sezgin Öztürk continues to participate in Anima School project, and keeps on sharing his sectoral experience with his students.
