Ayse Ünal is a director, filmmaker and an animation person, specializing in creating characters and universes with minute attention to detail.
She has extensive industry know-how in live action and animation including CG, 2D and stop motion.
She is the co-director the first Turkish animated film for adults, Bad Cat, produced by anima istanbul, which was a hit in Turkey and traveled to many festivals, including the prestigious Annecy, Sitges, Fantasia, Neuchatel, Anima Mundi, Nashville…
She has directed over 100s of TV commercials, that have been awarded and showcased in Turkey and abroad. She has also line produced and supervised animated series and VFX for TV. She has an animation company Rafa Film, where she continues producing original animated content, and commissioned work.
